50Hertz grid expansion projects identified as Projects of Common Interest (PCI)
Five projects according to EU-Commission of particular importance
On October 14th the European Commission adopted a list of around 250 key energy infrastructure projects. These “projects of common interest (PCI)” will benefit from better legal terms and faster and more efficient permit granting procedures. This list contains these five projects of 50Hertz: Kriegers Flak Combined Grid Solution, the project Krajnik-Vierraden with the installation of phaseshifter-transformators, the 3rd Interconnector between Poland and Germany, the Southwest-Interconnector as well as the South-East DC Passage.
