Collecting wind in the Baltic Sea - how electricity makes its way to land

The share of renewable energy in the German production of electricity has considerably increased in recent years. In the future, offshore wind farms located in the Baltic Sea will make an important contribution to this production of renewable electricity. 50Hertz is tasked with the transport of the wind power generated at sea to the onshore power grid.
