Projects

To ensure the security of supply, we are currently planning the construction of several new overhead power lines with an extra high voltage level of 380 kV: among these are the Uckermark line, which will transport electricity from the Prenzlau area in Brandenburg to Neuenhagen bei Berlin, the South-West Interconnector from Halle to Schweinfurt in Bavaria and the 380 kV "Nordring Berlin", the third interconnector between Poland and Germany; Here, you can find all important information on the most significant ongoing projects: planning statuses, maps and contact addresses or people to consult in case of questions or information requests. South-East DC Passage

South-East DC Passage

The South-East Direct Current Passage planned by 50Hertz is one of the most important new transmission lines between northern and southern Germany that are needed for a successful energy transition. This high voltage direct current (HVDC) power link between Saxony-Anhalt and Bavaria, with its minimum length of 450 kilometres, should be operational in 2022.
