Application Procedure

What is changing in our application process due to the Corona pandemic?

We have changed all our interviews and selection procedures to telephone, video and online formats. This means that they can continue to take place even in the current situation.

All those who have already applied and will be invited to an interview or selection procedure will be informed personally about the chosen format and the technical requirements.

We will continue to advertise new positions and look forward to receiving your application.

You can still reach the contact persons listed on our career website.

How can I apply?

Please use our online application form to apply. You can reach it with the 'apply now' button from every job advertisement.

You upload your application documents and type in your contact details in the online application form. Our application form is short and simple so you won't take much time and don't need to prepare special things.  With the 'send' button at the lower end of the form you can finally send your application. Then, you receive a confirmation of receipt to the e-mail address you have given.

  • Please always send us a complete application: in other words, with a cover letter, CV, relevant diplomas and certificates.
  • We recommend that you bundle all application documents in a single file and upload it in the first field of the application form ('File 1').
  • If you need to attach several documents, this is no problem: You can load up these in the lower part of the application form. You also find a seperate field for your application picture here if you want to send one, but that is explicitly not required. If you use more than one document, it would be good if you upload your CV at the first upload field ('File 1').
  • You can also apply with your XING or LinkedIn profile if you do not have any application documents to hand.

What is the general application procedure?

  • You will receive a confirmation immediately after we have received your application. If, in exceptional cases, you do not receive one, this is an indication that we have not received your application. In this case, please contact us by e-mail or telephone so that we can check it together.
  • After the application deadline, we will make a short list of candidates and  invite them for a personal interview. That takes a bit of time. Therefore, we ask you for some patience.
  • We then usually conduct a second interview with the closest circle of applicants (currently as a video interview) with a partially changed group of participants.
  • Depending on the job profile, case studies and/or other selection procedures (assessment centres) might be part of the application procedure.

How can I prepare for a job interview at 50Hertz?

  • The aim of our job interviews is to get to know each other and balance each other's expectations.
  • We recommend you to read the job advertisement again and think about where you did something similar in the recent past. That is because we would like to lead the conversation along specific examples from your professional practice.
  • Do not forget to think about questions you would like to ask us so that you are able to make your personal decision on a good basis.
