Our grid data reflects the activity in our transmission system and is compiled for both professionals and interested individuals to see how 50Hertz ensures a stable and future-proof electricity supply, every day of the year.

We attach great importance to transparency. Our data on the 50Hertz transmission system and the 50Hertz grid area are of particular interest to market participants such as electricity traders, but also to associations, politicians and universities which is why 50Hertz is happy to make them available to the public. This way, the public is always informed about how 50Hertz contributes to a reliable energy supply. Our work consists of more than merely operating, maintaining and developing the grid. We also play a key role in furthering renewable energy and making the energy market technically fit.

Frontrunner in wind power

Wind power is the most important form of renewable energy in Germany. Currently, the output of approx. 40 percent of wind power capacity installed in Germany is fed into our grid.

Generation

Electricity generation fluctuates. The task of 50Hertz is to compensate for deviations and to guarantee a supply that is as constant as possible. Here, you can find the data on the forecast and actual generation output in the 50Hertz grid area.

Grid feed-in

The electricity in the 50Hertz transmission system comes from interconnection hubs, distribution grids, power plants, wind turbines, private solar panels and many more. The sum of all these production sources is the grid feed-in. We have compiled the relevant data for you here.
