An interconnector is a power line connecting the electricity grids of two countries. These international transmission lines connect the transmission systems of all EU-countries, enable international power trade and increase the security of supply. The 50Hertz transmission system is the basis for a reliable, secure and efficient electricity supply. Should grid stability be endangered or disrupted, we immediately take grid- or market-related measures in the scope of congestion management.
