At the end of 2021, a total installed capacity of around 62,000 MW was available across the 50Hertz control area. Of this installed capacity, almost 39,500 MW was generated from renewable sources, while around 22,500 MW was generated by conventional power plants.
This page contains a breakdown of the total installed capacity into different energy sources. Details relating to wind and solar power, which represent the largest share of the installed capacity occupied by renewables, can be found on the pages covering wind power and photovoltaics.
