In order to manage the secure integration of 100% renewable energy, 50Hertz will rely on a new modular network control system in the future: MCCS. With this cutting-edge Modular Control Center System, 50Hertz ensures that generation and consumption are always balanced, so that the system remains stable 24/7, largely without feed-in from central power plants.

The 50Hertz grid is constantly being optimised and expanded whenever it is necessary on grounds of renewables’ intergration.
