50Hertz as a partner in the EU-funded BESTGRID project
Together with nine partners from all over Europe, 50Hertz worked on the BESTGRID project from April 2013 to October 2015. In five European grid expansion projects, new ways were tested to cooperate and spread information in the field. In BESTGRID, 50Hertz committed itself by contributing to the explanation of electric and magnetic fields in the scope of the grid expansion project of the grid 380 kV overhead line Bertikow-Pasewalk. Other partners in the EU-funded project under the guidance of the Renewables Grid Initiative (RGI) included Deutsche Umwelthilfe, Nabu Deutschland and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA).
