Results of the event documentation in Prenzlau and Pasewalk

On 11 March 2014, 50Hertz informed Prenzlau and, on 13.March 2014, in Pasewalk the interested public of Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania about the planned replacement of the 380 kV Bertikow - Pasewalk overhead line. The events marked the launch of a dialogue process to accompany the planning and expansion of the overhead line. The public showed lively interest in the event with around 80 representatives from civil society, politics, business and administration taking part in both events. The information tour of the Dialogmobil: Infotour-Blog

From 9 to 17 October 2014, 50Hertz informed citizens in the area affected by the current planning status of the project as part of an information tour. Detailed reports on the course of the tour, its stations and the project were available in a blog about the information tour.

Public participation

In the scope of the BESTGRID project, nine European partners, consisting of environmental protection associations and transmission system operators, work together with a research institute to advance understanding of the transmission grid expansion. This grid development project belongs to the four pan-European pilot projects, in which BESTGRID applies innovative forms of public dialogue. Its objective is to improve local and public understanding of the projects and to speed up the approval procedure insofar as possible.

Project of common interest

As a project of common interest (PCI) of the European Union, Project no. 5 of the SuedOstLink is decisive for the further improvement of the security of supply and the development of renewable energy and receives subsidies.
