In the scope of early public participation for the KONTEK underground cable replacement, 50Hertz organised a community conference for offices responsible for public policy and an information meeting for private land owners.
The goal of the meetings was to seek advice regarding the current planning and optimally inform all parties involved by means of a transparent overview of the project, and thus build trust in the plans. 50Hertz specifically had the opportunity to inform the representatives of the municipalities of the current planning. They in turn will inform their towns.
They also received important advice for the final revision of the permit documents. Especially helpful was the use of the information platform, which makes it possible to view the planned route in detail. Nature conservation questions with regard to mapping were also discussed in detail.
The private owners asked about the specific building process and how construction would affect the harvest. Particularly positive was the handover of signed licensing agreements and easements for entry in the land register. The participants were also very interested in the planning of the preliminary archaeological investigations that will be carried out by the State Office for Culture and the Preservation of Historical Monuments next autumn.
